Mr. Rogers

These days, it's almost impossible to say that TV is a positive influence in children's lives, but one person who did make a difference was Mr. Rogers.  People made fun of him and his show, but I remember watching as a little girl, and no matter what was happening in my life, he always made me feel safe and good about myself.  Here's a video of Fred Rogers receiving a lifetime achievement Emmy award.  His acceptance speech is wonderful.

I loved Mr Rogers, I use to watch him with my dad. I felt safe and calm watching that show and still feel safe whenever I listen to the introduction to the show. It was a great show and when I have my own child I will share that show with her.
