Big Bad Voodoo Daddy ~ new album!

I love, love, LOVE the Voodoo Daddies.  They emerged around the time I started swing dancing in the early 90s, and I couldn't get enough.  They just released a new album (a tribute to the great Cab Calloway) called How Big Can You Get.  Click on the image below to listen to clips and order the album...

sea glass pendants

Love to collect sea glass?  Ever thought about turning it into a great pendant necklace?  Wire wrapping takes some practice, but once you get that hang of it, it's a lot of fun.  Try this tutorial from Sea Glass Journal...

Georgetown Cupcake comes to Boston

For all my fellow New Englanders out there, great news - Georgetown Cupcake just opened a new shop on Newbury Street in Boston!  I can't wait to check it out.  There was also a recent opening in SoHo, and one coming up in Los Angeles in September.  For more info, click here.

Born and Raised ~ John Mayer

Have you heard John's newest album, Born and Raised?  It's a great one!
Visit my other blog, When the Moon Rises, for a gorgeous acoustic version of Free Fallin', also sung by John.

Mr. Rogers

These days, it's almost impossible to say that TV is a positive influence in children's lives, but one person who did make a difference was Mr. Rogers.  People made fun of him and his show, but I remember watching as a little girl, and no matter what was happening in my life, he always made me feel safe and good about myself.  Here's a video of Fred Rogers receiving a lifetime achievement Emmy award.  His acceptance speech is wonderful.
